LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of basketball's greatest players. He is often called Michael Jordan when discussing the most popular player. James has been awarded four NBA championships and four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs along with two Olympic medals. James has the world record of the highest amount of points scored during the post-season, second best overall career score and 7th highest number of career assists. James is part of the NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. As a total, James has been a part of more than 10 NBA Finals, the third-most in history. This includes eight straight between 2011-2018. James was chosen to be part of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. He was the NBA's first player to score 10,000 points, rebound and assist in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent-St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he was raised. The national media praised James as a possible NBA star. A prep-to-pro, he was selected for the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of the 2003 NBA draft. The 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, He quickly established himself as one of the top league players by winning an NBA MVP award in 2010 and 2009. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after not achieving a Championship with Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast in The Decision.
